To commemorate the 100th year since the birth of Fidel Castro, the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, in conjunction with Cuban academic and cultural institutions, is convening the First International Colloquium: Fidel: Legacy and Future, to be held at the Havana Convention Center, Cuba.
Historians, political scientists, economists, sociologists, jurists, researchers, politicians, diplomats, journalists, information specialists, professors, students, artists, social leaders, solidarity committees with Cuba, and friends of the Cuban Revolution from around the world will gather for a forum for critical and pluralistic debate on Fidel Castro Ruz's contributions to contemporary thought.

Cost
Registration for the colloquium is $250.
Amistur, the Cuban travel agency, is arranging packages for accommodation and transport within Cuba. A rough estimate for accommodation, breakfasts, and transport during the colloquium is $350 (three star accommodation, including airport transfer and transport to the colloquium). This does not include flights to Cuba, or insurance. For further details, including additional activities and inclusion, see this document.
