Support the Cuban people! Join us in 2026-27!
The 42nd Southern Cross Brigade (2026-27) will be held from the 27th of December 2026 to the 12th of January 2027.
Join us as we meet friends of Cuba from all around the world, exchange with local projects and programs, and learn from Cubans living the reality of the United States blockade and the Cuban struggle for socialism in the present moment. In 2026-27, we will engage in volunteer work in sustainable agriculture, visit historic sites and museums, and explore many other fascinating aspects of this beautiful island nation.
You can expect a cost of around $2,500AUD (excluding flights) for all Brigade accommodation, basic food and internal travel expenses, plus the $250AUD registration fee.

The Southern Cross Brigade offers Australian and New Zealand friends of Cuba the opportunity to learn more about the island nation's unique, yet often misunderstood, political history and to participate in Cuba’s rich cultural heritage. There is no better time to join the brigade and to find out what life is like in socialist Cuba.
